Jock Joints
The evidence

What was measured, and what was not.

Every arc on this site comes from a real class recording. This page is the accounting: what was filmed, what survived measurement, what a person checked by eye, and every movement that was thrown out, with the reason it was thrown out.

What the arcs are

Each arc is one movement pulled from the footage. The angle is where the joint's segment pointed on camera, the radius is how far through the rep it was, and it is brightest where the joint moved slowest. Where an arc is broken, the camera lost the joint and nothing was drawn in its place.

These are arcs a limb's direction covered on camera. They are not joint range of motion. A single camera cannot see movement toward or away from it, so anything that happens mainly in depth is not measured here and is not claimed.

The gym behind the home page is not a real place. The footage was generated by a video model. Nothing in it is measured.

Not published, and why

A movement is excluded when it cannot be attributed to the person performing it, when the camera saw too little of it, or when the drill rotates about an axis the camera cannot see. Four were excluded because the tracker followed the coach rather than the student. In one of them the automatic quality score was perfect, which is why a person looks as well.
